French Regence Period, Pair of beechwood cane armchairs, circa 1715-1723

A rare pair of molded and carved beechwood armchairs with caned seats and backs decorated with a central pomegranate. The front belts are curved to match the backs. Our armchairs rest on curved legs finished with scrolls, joined by X-shaped spacers and carved with acanthus leaves underlining the arches of the legs, armrests, and armrests supports.

Beautiful French Régence period, early-18th-century circa 1715-1723.
