Vitrine cabinet signed by Paul Sormani

This vitrine cabinet is a very elegant piece and a statement of refinement by Paul Sormani.
The serpentine front door vitrine with a bombé front and sides glass are surmounted with three hand-painted Vernis Martin panels depicting XVIIIth century style galant scene. The paintings are remarkably well preserved and have very vivid colours.
The upper corners and top apron are decorated with floral gilt bronze mounts in the Rococo manner. Finely chiselled, these tormented bronzes are exceptional in their rare motifs.
The vitrine is raised on four cabriolet legs with gilt bronze sabot.
The upholstered interior with three glass shelves and an enclosed storage compartment.
Signed on the lock "Paul Sormani, 10 rue Charlot, Paris".
