Sculpture of Molière by Paul Fournier

Paul Fournier is a sculptor who was very well known in the 19th century, but most of his works were melted down during the wars by the French government in order to obtain metal for armaments.
Forgotten at the bottom of a garden, this cast iron sculpture of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin dit Molière, cast by Denonvilliers is one of the rare testimonies of the work of this sculptor. 
Quite evocative, it shows us a Molière in action.
