Donald Knorr

Donald Knorr (1922-2003) is an American designer and architect. After graduating in architecture in 1947, he joined the firm of Eero Saarinen. He collaborated in the development of furniture pieces of the series 70. The next year Saarinen encouraged Donald Knorr to participate to the International competition organized in 1948 by the MoMA in New York where he proposed the idea of the chair 132U which obtained the first prize.
