Émile LABORNE
Émile LABORNE (Edme-Émile Laborne), 1837 / 1913 (French)
A painter and draftsman, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under the direction of marine painter Jules Noël and Eugène Lacoste. He exhibited at the Salon from 1865 until 1890. Laborne was a refined painter of urban views and landscapes. Paris, the Loire Valley, and southern Spain were often depicted with his brushes. He also executed several views of the Normandy coast: Le Tréport, Fécamp, Honfleur, and Villers-sur-Mer.
