Jacques Blin

Jacques Blin (1920-1995) was a French ceramist and sculptor known for his work in ceramics. He was born in Paris and studied at the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris, where he was trained in sculpture and ceramics.

Blin began his career in the 1940s creating utilitarian ceramic objects, but he soon became famous for his terracotta sculptures. His creations were often one-of-a-kind, handmade pieces, and were characterized by organic forms, complex textures, and abstract patterns that owe much to the painter Jean Rustin, whom he met around 1955.
