Klismos

the klismos chair is a chair born during Greek antiquity and is frequently found on ancient bas-reliefs.
It is characterized by its backrest curved to fit the shape of the back and by curved and tapered chair legs.
Forgotten for a long time, the klismos chair made its comeback in decoration under the Consulate and then the Empire with the appearance of the taste for Antiquity that appeared with the establishment of a society that sought to free itself from the Christian aesthetic canons.
