Roger Capron

Roger Capron (1922-2006) is an outstanding ceramist who settled in Vallauris after the Second World War. A former student of the School of Applied Arts in Paris, his career is strewn with major international awards: In Milan in 1954, Cannes in 1955, Brussels in 1959, etc.. The year 1970 is a kind of climax that sees him awarded the international prize of ceramics. 10 years later, he filed for bankruptcy forcing him to give up his creations and patents. Despite this, Capron continued his work, turning to the production of unique pieces closer to sculpture.

His decorative stoneware objects, tableware, tiles and decorative panels cover 60 years of creation and history of ceramic art.
